THE MOVEMENT // 01
Another world is on her way….…
DemCon brings together the full spectrum of progressive, socialist, green, feminist, and decolonial movements — not to paper over differences, but to build strategic solidarity across them. Eight thematic verticals. Three days. One common purpose. Held in Brussels, the capital of the EU.
OUR AGENDA
A map of the future we're trying to build. Two days of panels, workshops, and conversations shaping what comes next.
Intersectional Feminism
➔Where gender justice meets class struggle, racial equity, and disability rights — building solidarity across movements instead of ranking oppressions against each other.
Climate & Degrowth
➔Confronting the climate crisis as a systems failure, not a technical glitch — degrowth, just transition, and public ownership of the energy we all depend on.
Faith & Religion
➔Progressive faith communities and secular organizers finding common cause — pluralism, liberation theology, and solidarity across belief and non-belief.
Media & Comms
➔Building independent media infrastructure that can out-organize disinformation — narrative strategy, platform accountability, and journalism that serves movements, not algorithms.
Social Technologies
➔Tools and platforms designed for organizing power, not extracting attention — data justice, cooperative tech, and digital infrastructure movements can actually own.
Children’s Liberation
➔Youth as organizers and rights-holders, not just future voters — education justice, child welfare reform, and building power for the people who’ll inherit what we build.
Anti-Racism & Decolonial
➔Confronting colonial legacies embedded in law, land, and institutions — reparative justice, decolonial policy, and organizing led by those most affected.
Municipal & Regional Gov.
➔Where policy actually gets tested — municipalism, participatory budgeting, and the local governance experiments that scale into national change.
